Hobbies
● Training- She will argue that training is a hobby to anyone that dare makes a smart quip about it. She enjoys the workout and takes pride in her hard work and dedication.
● Cooking- Nao sometimes joins in helping around the kitchen to cook, but is no chef. She takes more of an interest to help her elderly neighbors out. Grumbles the whole way cooking since she can't eat the ingredients.
Kaiden
The black wolf does not take to Nao at all when she first learns how to summon from his pack and winds up being chosen. He warns her to never bother calling him for anything pointless and that she better have the proper offering or he will eat her. He never follows though, but does grumble about being summoned. Eventually he gets used to her and finds her company and being away from the pack more fun. As she grows so does their bond. She knows she can rely on him as can he.
Naruto
Perhaps due to her family not truly understanding the omens surrounding the boy that many in the village gossiped about, or maybe they didn't care, Nao was never told not to speak to Naruto. She found him to be rather welcoming compared to the rest of the group and while some of his antics were weird, he seemed genuinely nice. She learned to appreciate the art of ramen as he says, but won't eat it as much as him. They encourage each other as they train to become better ninjas.
The Hayashi clan many years ago was drawn into war. Situated where it was surrounded by other clans with direct access to the river that cut between the village and the rich game, they stood no chance to the advancing warriors. With people dying every day trying to secure the edges of their village, the clan leader sought a way to end the war. She came across a mountain path and traveled to the peak above the clouds. There she came across a giant wolf hiding behind the mountain and within the clouds. She begged the god to spare her people. The god agreed to but at a price.
She agreed to the conditions and sealed her own and the future generations of the the clan's fate. The god ate her heart then wrecked havoc on the village's enemies. The people praised the god, but were told the conditions for his help. Any child born under the moon, with white hair, was to belong to him. They must bring the cursed child to the mountains as a sacrifice. If they concealed the child he would descend upon the village and curse them all. A heavy mist obscures the village from sight and the forest surrounding are said to be haunted. Ghostly howls scaring off anyone from entering.
On the night of a full moon, two children were born with hair the color of moonlight. A boy and a girl born only an hour later. Distraught, the parents packed what they could and smuggled the child out of the village while the village was busy mourning the loss of the child born earlier. They traveled far to prevent anyone coming after them as tried to raise their daughter as they hopped village to village. Finally settling on Kohana where they hoped the tale of the curse was not so.
