Hobbies
● Building- Bayard is very much a hands on person. He's built himself a small home in the woods and the amenities around him. He will gladly take on work to build or repair work for others as long as they don't talk badly about him behind his back.
● Carving- While out on the road, he whittles away on wood pieces to pass the time. Sometimes he makes the same thing over and over until he can perfect it. Other times he makes specific animals and objects to leave in off places. Maybe for the next traveler that passes by.
● He's blind in one eye and prefers to hide it behind his hair due to the large scarring. It just prevents even more unwanted questioning. He has many scars along his body over his years of traveling and battles.
● Likes to take the form of a large bear when he just gets tired of being a human. During winter he does grow drowsy much more often and gorges himself before sleeping for days at a time. He tried to not transform into a bear during this time least he hibernate the whole season, but always feels refreshed if he does so he continues the tradition.
● While he dislikes open water, due to the unknown creatures that may inhabit it, he can shift into a snapping turtle. He just prefers to travel on land then use ships or boats.
● When he really likes someone's company, he will listen intently to their concerns and problems. He offers comfort or suggestions if asked. Since he travels a lot, he sends letters to those he finds he can trust or don't shun him for his nature.
● Ends up really liking Lycidas as she travels around a lot herself and is a loyal companion. After many commissions they take together, he grows to trust her deeply. He's much more of a touchy person while she is much more fickle about being touched. Later she introduces him to other companions of hers and the once tiny circle of friends he had grows.
Lycidas
Bayard did not get along with the elf when they first met. Most of their early interactions were forced due to him helping her after she was caught in one of his traps. She was unable to use one of her legs properly until it healed. She wasn't shy to snap at him during this time, but the two do eventually get over their issues. They team up to take down a werewolf terrorizing the neighboring town. After that they keep in touch and go on adventures together.
Calden
At one point, Bayard used to supply some odd materials for Calden's projects. They rarely exchanged words, but were comfortable with the silent presence of one another. Calden looks forwards to the letters he recieves from the druid during his travels. When he returns to his home, he usually invites Calden over to share his findings. After Calden meets Willow, he notices the warlock open up more. It helps the two grow closer.
